Organically Grown Cotton Eliminates Harmful Chemicals

Nearly one-third of a pound of chemicals are used in order to produce the amount of cotton needed to make one standard t-shirt. Many of these chemicals are classified as extremely dangerous and highly toxic by the Environmental Protection Agency. Additionally, cotton grown in the United States accounts for 25% of all pesticides used. By switching to organic cotton, we are voicing our concerns for the environment through our purchases without sacrificing quality. This is a small, yet extremely important change that must be made.
